No. 3 Open Crew Upsets No. 1 Brown, Gets Upset By No. 9 Ohio State

PRINCETON - The No. 3 Princeton women's open crew opened the season with a win over No. 1 Brown. That was the good news. The bad news was that No. 9 Ohio State topped both boats to win the 2004-opening regatta at Lake Carnegie Saturday morning. Ohio State came in at 6:26.2, more than four seconds faster Princeton and six seconds faster than Brown.

Princeton did take the novice 8 race, topping Brown by more than two seconds. The Bears took the remaining three races, including the varsity four, which Princeton did not compete in.
