CHAIN OF COMMAND (In Attendance)

1) Chain of command during severe or catastrophic injury will be as follows:

a) Team Physician (if present)
b) Certified Athletic Trainer (if present)
c) Coaching Staff

2) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are ON SITE at time of injury, he/she will take command.

3) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are NOT ON SITE, then the next person on the Chain of Command is in charge.

EMERGENCY PERSONNEL

Certified Athletic Trainer and course marshals (ìspottersî) on site for intercollegiate competitions only. (In the event a Certified Athletic Trainer is not in attendance, the race director must coordinate any emergency needs.)

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION

Certified Athletic Trainer will carry a cellular phone to access EMS and spotters will be equipped with hand-held two-way radios to communicate with ATC. (In the event a Certified Athletic Trainer is not in attendance, spotters should be in contact with the race director as the specific individual responsible for activating EMS.)

EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT ON SITE

Certified Athletic Trainer will provide customary first aid and first responder supplies. If additional emergency equipment is needed, it will be supplied by the local EMS squad responding to the emergency. (In the event a Certified Athletic Trainer is not in attendance, the race director shall be responsible for procuring a first aid kit from the athletic medicine staff.)

LOCATION OF AED

An AED will be available through public safety or athletic training staff during all scheduled practices/events.

ACCESS TO VENUE

The Princeton Battlefield is located on Mercer Road (Princeton Pike). There are two additional entrances to the Advanced Institute woods/trails aside from the main parking lot off Mercer Road. Additional means of access are either through the Princeton Friend's School parking lot or through the gate off Olden Lane that leads to the Institute's upper trail.

No lightning shelter located at this venue.

LOCATION OF EMERGENCY PHONE

Cellphone (w/ ATC)
Coaches will carry cellphone (If ATC is not present)
Spotters will carry hand-held two-way radios to communicate with ATC.
