BACK TO SPORTS MEDICINE HOME

CHAIN OF COMMAND (In Attendance)

1) Chain of command during severe or catastrophic injury will be as follows:

a) Team Physician (if present)
b) Certified Athletic Trainer
c) Coaching Staff

2) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are ON SITE at time of injury, he/she will take command.

3) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are NOT ON SITE, then the next person on the Chain of Command is in charge.

EMERGENCY PERSONNEL

Wrestling: For intercollegiate events a Certified Athletic Trainer will be on site. Team physician will be on site or on call for events.

M/W Volleyball: For all intercollegiate events a Certified Athletic Trainer will be on site. Team physician will be on call for events. For all scheduled practices an ATC will be located in Caldwell Athletic Training Room.

Swimming/Water Polo: For practices starting after 9:00am an ATC will be located in Caldwell Athletic Training Room.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION

Certified Athletic Trainer will access EMS/public safety. In the event a Certified Athletic Trainer is not in attendance, contact Caldwell Athletic Training Staff AND EMS/public safety using phone on the wall behind the monitor's desk in Lobby of Dillon to coordinate any emergency needs. Send designated person to meet ambulance at entrance.

EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT ON SITE

Wrestling:
Intercollegiate Events: Ice, water and a first aid/Athletic Trainer's kit will be provided by ATC. All emergency equipment will be located in Dillon Athletic Training Room

Volleyball:
Practices: Athletes/coaches are responsible for supplying water. Ice is located in Laundry Room of Dillon Gym. All first aid and emergency equipment will be located in Caldwell Athletic Training Room.

Intercollegiate Events: Ice, water and a first aid/Athletic Trainer's kit will be provided by ATC. All emergency equipment will be located in Caldwell Athletic Training Room.

LOCATION OF AED

AED is located on the opposite wall of the main entrances for men's and women's locker rooms. AED may be removed from glass case and transported to any level in Dillon Gym for emergency use only.

ACCESS TO VENUE

DIRECTIONS: Dillon Gym is located off of Elm Drive past the Guard Shack on the Left.

MAIN GYM: To access main gym enter through Dillon Front doors, straight ahead through lobby and up stairs to Dillon Gym Floor.

LOCKER ROOM/TRAINING ROOM: To access use tower entrance on East side of the building. Enter through Men's/Women's Locker Room.

POOL/WEIGHT ROOM: To access pool or weight room, use entrance on West Side of Dillon.

LOCATION OF LIGHTNING SHELTER

**All Swimmers must clear the Water!

Dillon Gym may be used as a lightning shelter for all event/ practices on 1995 Softball and Poe/Pardee Fields.
