CHAIN OF COMMAND (In Attendance)
1) Chain of command during severe or catastrophic injury will be as follows:
a) Team Physician (if present)
b) Certified Athletic Trainer
c) Coaching Staff
2) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are ON SITE at time of injury, he/she will take command.
3) If Team Physician or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) are NOT ON SITE, then the next person on the Chain of Command is in charge.
EMERGENCY PERSONNEL
Football: For all intercollegiate events two Certified Athletic Trainers, the Team Physician, and an Orthopedic Consultant will be on site; Ambulance crew on site; Public Safety personnel; X-ray tech in the stands with pager.
Other events: Athletic Trainer on site for Princeton University intercollegiate events and scheduled practices. Physician / ambulance/ Public Safety coverage is variable and on an event- by- event basis
EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION
Certified Athletic Trainer will carry cellular phone to access EMS/public safety. In the event a Certified Athletic Trainer is not in attendance, contact Caldwell Athletic Training Staff AND EMS/public safety using campus phones to coordinate any emergency needs. Campus emergency telephones are located on the concourse level at all four corners of the Stadium. Send designated person to meet ambulance at East Tunnel entrance.
EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT ON SITE
The emergency equipment is stored in the Physician's Office located in the Home Team Athletic Training Room. There is a vacuum spine board, air splints, and cervical collars. During Football games, the equipment will be brought onto the field. During games covered by an ambulance crew, their emergency equipment can be utilized.
LOCATION OF AED
An AED will be available through public safety or athletic training staff during all scheduled practices/events.
ACCESS TO VENUE
DIRECTIONS: The Stadium can be accessed from the access road between the Stadium and Clarke Field, which runs from the Caldwell Circle to Western Way. This road travels around the closed end of the Stadium, and separates the Stadium from the Armory and Fine/ Jadwin Classroom Buildings (for access to the west side stands).
FIELD: Enter by the southeast tunnel and proceed onto the field.
WEIGHT ROOM: Enter by the southeast tunnel, and proceed west through the corridor.
HOME LOCKER ROOM: Enter by the southeast tunnel and proceed onto the track to the southwest tunnel.
VISITOR LOCKER ROOM: Enter by the southeast tunnel.
EQUIPMENT ROOM: Enter by the southeast tunnel and proceed onto track to the southwest tunnel. Access to the Equipment Room is through the Home Team Locker Room or the Weight Room.
ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM: Enter by the southeast tunnel and proceed onto track to the southwest tunnel.
MEETING ROOMS: Enter by the southeast tunnel and proceed onto track to the southwest tunnel. The Meeting Rooms are located off of the corridor leading from the southwest tunnel to the Weight Room. Additional meeting space is in the Visitor Locker Room.
PRESS BOX: The Press Box can be accessed using the elevator located on the west side of the Stadium at gate 9-10.
LOCATION OF LIGHTNING SHELTER
All athletes and coaches must clear the field and use the Team Locker Rooms in the Stadium for shelter.
