Keady '08 Joins ECAC Coaching Ranks at Union

PRINCETON, N.J. (6/24/14) - Former Princeton women's hockey player Lizzie Keady '08 has been named an assistant coach at Union it was announced by the University on Monday.

Keady was a standout hockey player for the Tigers from 2003-08. She played in 118 games and tallied 38 goals and 41 assists for 79 points. As a junior, Keady was named second-team All-Ivy League and honorable mention all-ECAC. She was the recipient of the Elizabeth English Trophy presented to the team's MVP and the Most Improved Player award. Keady won the 2008 Sarah Devins Award, a joint award between the ECAC and Hockey East.

Keady has extensive national team experience, as she missed the 2005-06 season as she competed with the US National team. She played in 16 of the team's games during its 2005 Pre-Olympic Tour and was the final player cut from the 2006 Olympic team. Keady was also a member of the team at the 2004 Four Nations Cup, 2005 World Championship and the was on the Pre-Olympic Residency Program from 2008-10.

Keady spent the past two seasons as head coach for the girl's varsity hockey team at Andover (Mass.) High School, coaching the girl's varsity lacrosse team as well. She was also the director at North Shore Vipers Select, working with U10-U19 teams, and was the general manager and director of hockey training at the Institute of Performance & Fitness in Andover.

Princeton and Union are set to face off at Hobey Baker Rink on November 14.
