The draw for the NCAA singles tournament was announced Tuesday, and Princeton freshman Alanna Wolff will have a big challenge right away once the event begins tomorrow in Athens, Georgia.

Wolff will open against the draw's No. 2 seed, Robin Anderson of UCLA, at 4 p.m. ET in the 64-player tournament. One round is scheduled for each day beginning Wednesday and culminating in the national finals on Monday. Wolff's and Princeton's coach, Laura Granville, was a two-time champion of the event in 2000 and 2001 while at Stanford.

This is the 12th NCAA singles tournament in which a Tiger has been included and the first since 2002. The last Princeton player to win a Round of 64 match was Diana Gardner '90 in 1990.

Wolff, a second-team All-Ivy League honoree in singles play, is ranked No. 94 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and has been a part of that ranking almost weekly since January. She will enter the NCAA singles tournament on a six-match win streak and having won 11 of her last 12 completed matches. Most recently, Wolff knocked off two ITA-ranked opponents during Princeton's NCAA tournament run, defeating Arizona State's Desirae Krawczyk in three sets to clinch the team match and Alabama's Danielle Spielmann in straight sets. Krawczyk is ranked No. 37 by the ITA and Spielmann No. 93, while UCLA's Anderson is ranked No. 2.

Wolff has an overall singles record of 24-5, leading Princeton in wins between the fall and spring campaigns, while going 14-3 in dual matches and 6-1 in Ivy play. Wolff is 3-1 this season against ITA-ranked opponents, combining the two wins in NCAA tournament play with a win in the fall over Northwestern's then-No. 107 Belinda Niu and a loss this spring to Stanford's then-No. 94 Ellen Tsay.
