PHILADELPHIA (4/25/14) - The Princeton 4x400 relay clocked it's best time of the season to win the 4x400 Heptagonal on Day 2 of the Penn Relays.

The relay made up of junior Daniel McCord, freshman Bryant Switzer, freshman Ray Mennin and senior Tom Hopkins clocked a 3:12.75 besting the runner-up, Brown, by 1.21. It was just a year ago that Princeton set the event record with Hopkins and McCord making up two legs of the relay that ran 3:07.99. This year's relay will advance to the 4x400 IC4A tomorrow at 5:55 p.m.

McCord and Hopkins weren't finished yet. They were joined by sophomore Jack Scinto and sophomore John Hill in the 4x100 relay. The relay ran 42.03 in the heats.

Scinto was the lone individual competitor. In the eastern long jump, Scinto finished in fourth place. He jumped to 7.07 (23-2.5) on his third attempt of the afternoon.
