Woehling Captured Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/31/14) - Junior Annie Woehling of the Princeton women's lacrosse team has been named co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 30.

Princeton picked up its first two Ivy League wins of the year behind the play of goalie Woehling, who stopped 14 shots in the two games while allowing just 12 goals. Woehling allowed Columbia just five goals in a 15-5 Tigers victory and then gave up seven goals to Cornell in a 10-7 overtime victory for Princeton. In the two games, Woehling recorded a goals against average of 6.05 and a save percentage of .538.

Woehling takes home her second career Defensive Player of the Week honor and first since the 2012 season.

Princeton hosts Yale this Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m.
