Fast forward two years after not earning any Ivy League honors and Princeton women’s basketball point guard Blake Dietrick has made both Ivy and team history by collecting her fourth Player of the Week accolade this season.

The junior’s four weekly awards makes her tied for ninth all-time in Ivy single-season history and she is only the second Princeton player to reach the feat since Niveen Rasheed ’13 did twice in 2011-12 and 2012-13.

Dietrick, who was named the College Sports Madness Mid-Major and Ivy Player of the Week, is coming off a career weekend where she combined for 55 points and shot 70 percent from the field.

She opened her weekend tear with a career-high 27-point performance versus Brown on Feb. 14, going 10-of-12 from the field, 4-for-4 from three-point and 3-for-3 from the line. Dietrick did not miss a shot over the first half and her 10 made field goals matched her career high. Along with averaging a point for every minute of action, she only had one turnover in her outing.

After establishing a new career best Friday, Dietrick wasted no time reaching new milestones the next day versus Yale. In the first half alone she had 25 of the Tigers’ 49 points and surpassed her newly minted record with 28 points, setting a team season high. She established a new career high with 11 field goals made on 11-of-18 shooting, including four triples, and had a team-high six assists and added six rebounds.

On the year Dietrick is averaging 16 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. She’s shooting 52.8 percent from the field and 46.5 percent from downtown.

Dietrick and the Tigers (15-6, 6-1 Ivy) head to Dartmouth and Harvard this weekend and will look to move atop the Ivy standings and extend their five-game winning streak.
