A week after opening its season with a two-match sweep in Virginia of William & Mary and Old Dominion, the Princeton men's tennis team will host a trio of opponents this weekend in Jadwin Gym.
Saturday, Princeton will host Marquette at 1 p.m. as part of Campus Kids Day. The Tigers will host a clinic after the match. Sunday will feature a pair of opponents, first with Boston College at 10 a.m. and then with Monmouth at 2:30 p.m.
Marquette and Monmouth are both first-time opponents for the Tigers, while Sunday will bring the eighth meeting between Princeton and Boston College. The teams first met in 1936 and played the other six meetings in the 1990s and 2000s, most recently in 2009, Boston College's only win in the series.
Princeton enters the match ranked No. 55 in the nation with Zack McCourt at 112 on the singles list and Augie Bloom and Jonathan Carcione at No. 44 on the doubles list.
The matches will be the only ones at home for the Tigers in February, as Princeton will head for the ECAC Championship at Dartmouth next weekend followed by the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., in two weeks.
