Laing Named ECAC Player of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. (1/14/14) - Princeton's Denna Laing was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 12.

Laing led the ECAC in goals this week with four as she collected her first career hat trick and scored two short-handed goals. At Rensselaer on Saturday she scored three of her team's four goals including two in the games' first 5:37 and her first just 25 seconds in. Laing tallied a short-handed goal to cap the hat trick at 3:13 of the third. On Tuesday at Quinnipiac she scored the Tigers' lone goal, a short-handed goal, at 1:54 of the third period to make it a one-goal game.

Princeton return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 28 when it hosts Penn State in the final non-conference game of the season.
