Women's Golf Aims to Defend Title at Lehigh Invitational
Wrapping up the fall schedule, the Princeton women's golf team will head to Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlethem, Pa., for the Lehigh Invitational to be played Sunday and Monday.
It'll be the fourth and final tournament of the fall season, which began in September with the Princeton Invitational and continued by sending the Tigers to strong fields at the Longhorn Invitational in Texas and Vanderbilt's Rudolph Invitational.
The Tigers return to Saucon Valley as defending champions of the event after their first full-team appearance in the tournament. Princeton overcame a six-shot deficit after the first round to close the gap on Rutgers and Seton Hall, finishing just one shot ahead of the Pirates. Kelly Shon won the individual title based on her second-round 72, breaking a tie at 3-over with teammate Anna Jang '13 and Rutgers' Kortnie Maxoutopouli.
This year, Princeton will share the course with three other Ivy programs, including Dartmouth, Harvard and Yale, with Boston University, Georgetown, Navy, Seton Hall and the host Mountain Hawks completing the field. The teams will play 18 holes Sunday and 18 holes Monday, with tee times starting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
