Men's Soccer Looks to Stay Atop Ivy Standings with Meeting at Harvard

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/22/13) - The Princeton men's soccer team looks to carry its momentum into Cambridge as the Tigers take on Harvard on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m.

The Tigers are tied for first in the Ivy League with a 2-0-1 record, after defeating Darmtouth on the road, tying Brown on the road and topping Columbia at home last weekend. Princeton is 5-6-1 overall and is looking to improve upon its record away from home. Sophomore Thomas Sanner and junior Cameron Porter are both in double digits in scoring and in the top four in the league in scoring. Sanner has 15 points on seven goals and one assist, while Porter has four goals and a team-high three assists. Sophomores Nico Hurtado and Brendan McSherry have five and four points respectively. Senior Seth MacMillan has played in goal in all but one game this season. He has a 1.60 goals against average and a .609 save percentage.

Harvard is 2-1 in the league after defeating Brown 2-1 at home last weejend. The Crimson opened the Ivy season with a 2-1 loss at Yale followed by a 2-1 win at Cornell. Harvard is 3-6-2 overall and 2-3-2 when playing at home. The team has allowed 11 of 17 goals in the second half. Senior Ross Friedman is the team's leading scorer with eight points on a team-high six assists and one goal. This week's Ivy League Rookie of the Week Ashi Geberkidane has scored a team-best three goals, while senior Kevin Harrington has two tallies both of which were game winners. Senior Brett Conrad has started in seven games in goal and has a 1.85 GAA and a.731 save percentage. Sophomore Evan Mendez has started in four games, including the last two, and as a 0.73 GAA and an .893 save percentage.
