After accounting for six touchdowns last weekend (four passing, two rushing) and breaking into the national Top 5 in points responsible for per game, junior quarterback Quinn Epperly was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Epperly, who last week became the first Princeton player to rush for four touchdowns since Keith Elias in 1993, became the first Tiger quarterback to throw for four touchdowns in a game since Chad Roghair threw for five against Brown in 1991. His offensive assault helped Princeton open its 2013 Ivy League schedule with a 53-7 victory over Columbia.

Three of his touchdown passes went to Roman Wilson, who was named to the Ivy League Honor Roll, while his fourth went to Seth DeValve. He added touchdowns runs of three and one yard to help Princeton to a second straight 50-point performance; Princeton hadn't scored 50 points in back-to-back games since 1907.

"Quinn continues to consistently make winning plays every week," head coach Bob Surace said, "and I am excited for him to get this honor."

Epperly ranks third nationally in points responsible for per game (24.0); he has rushed for seven scores and thrown for five more in the first three games. Over his last eight games, dating back to last season, Epperly has been responsible for 18 touchdowns, including at least one in each game.
