President Eisgruber Meets With Football Team Following Thursday Session
Following the third practice of the 2013 Princeton football preseason, the Tigers were treated to a special guest speaker. Christopher Eisgruber, the newly elected 20th President of the University, shared some thoughts about the excitement of 2012 and his hopes for the coming season.
President Eisgruber, who was elected University President April 21, 2013, spoke for several minutes to the team following its afternoon session on the Finney Campbell Practice Fields. His topics ranged from the joy of last year's bonfire to the legacy of Dick Kazmaier '52, and he concluded by wishing the team well on its quest for the Ivy League title.
Team co-captains Phillip Bhaya and Caraun Reid presented President Eisgruber with a helmet, signed by members of the Class of 2013, following his talk.
President Eisgruber was joined by Cynthia Cherrey, Vice President for Campus Life, and Anthony DiTommaso '86, the president of the Princeton Football Association.
