William Gillis, James Hamp, Molly Hamrick and Timothy Masters will each row for gold Saturday during the final session of the U-23 World Championships, which are being held in Linz, Austria.

For the second straight year, two teammates on the Princeton heavyweight rowing team will square off in the final of the men's four. Gillis, the stroke of the U.S. 4-, and Masters, stroke of the Australian 4-, both had to compete in the final repechage to earn one of the final two spots in Saturday's final.

Masters led the Australian boat to a victory in the rep in 5:59.98, while the American boat earned the second spot in 6:02.46. While the U.S. did claim the final spot in the grand final, there was little drama late in the race; the Americans topped Great Britain by nearly eight full seconds for a berth in the finals.

Gillis will be looking to reverse history in the final. While Masters and the Australian quad topped the US in the rep, it also had the edge in the 2012 U-23 final; the Australians earned a silver medal, while the Americans placed fourth.

Hamrick, who stroked the 2013 open varsity eight to an Ivy League championship and a silver medal at the NCAA Championships, helped the U.S. W4- to a victory in its opening heat (6:38.42) by nearly three seconds over Germany.

Hamp helped the U.S. men's eight to a win in its rep in 5:44.54, a time that topped both Spain and the Czech Republic in a highly competitive race.

Both Alex Morss (WL2x) and Ed Northrop (ML2-) missed out on grand finals, but will compete in other finals Saturday.
