Princeton alumna Jen Hoy and the Chicago Red Stars are nearing the midway point of their season in the National Women's Soccer League, and Hoy appeared in a video for the Red Stars' Web site after the team's game against Kansas City last week.
The Red Stars are 3-5-2 and in sixth place in the eight-team NWSL, and 12 games remain for the team to make a move in the standings. The NWSL has teams in New Jersey, Portland, Rochester, Kansas City, Boston, Chicago, Washington and Seattle. The Red Stars have already made their closest appearance to Princeton, playing the New Jersey team, Sky Blue FC, to a 1-1 draw on May 8.
