Ranked victories over programs on both coasts, a return to the EIVA postseason and a packed house in Dillon Gym were among the highlights during an exciting 2013 Princeton men's volleyball season. Head coach Sam Shweisky shares some thoughts on the campaign, as well as provides video highlights, in this postseason recap.
Princeton opened its season with a victory over No. 12 UC Santa Barbara, and followed up with a home EIVA win over No. 14 Harvard. The Tigers also went toe-to-toe with two teams that reached the NCAA semifinals; Princeton lost 3-1 to Penn State in both regular season meetings, while the Tigers held a 2-1 road lead over eventual MIVA champion before falling in five.
Princeton will return a pair of first-team All-EIVA performers in Pat Schwagler and Cody Kessel, and six of the seven starters from last season will return for the 2014 season.
