Having concluded her Princeton career with an NCAA individual saber title, Eliza Stone just keeps on winning.

Stone won gold in Division I saber at the North American Cup event in Richmond, Va., Friday, finishing atop a field of 38 competitors. High finishes in events like the North American Cup are key for earning points toward representing the U.S. in international competition.

Stone went 6-0 in pool bouts, earning the No. 2 seed in the direct elimination bracket. She got through the Rounds of 32, 16 and eight by giving up no more than seven touches in each 15-touch bout. She won her final two bouts by 15-11 scores, pulling away from Duke alum Ibtihaj Muhammad in the final after being tied 11-11.

Freshman sister Gracie Stone placed ninth in the same competition, going 4-1 in pool bouts. Gracie Stone won her Round of 32 bout 15-7 but fell to Sophie Keehan, whom Eliza Stone defeated in the semfiinal, 15-12 in the Round of 16.

The Stone sisters both won All-America honors this year, along with junior brother Robert Stone, as all three helped Princeton to its first combined NCAA team title.

Also at the NAC event, freshman Isabel Ford took home a silver medal in a 44-fencer Division I women's epee field. She went 3-2 in pool bouts, earning the No. 16 seed, and upset reigning NCAA champion and top seed Courtney Hurley of Notre Dame 15-9 in the Round of 16. Ford won her quarterfinal bout 15-8 over Madeline Antekeier and her semifinal bout 15-6 over Dina Bazarbayeva. Kelley Hurley, a 2012 Olympian alongside sister Courtney and fellow Irish alum, ended Ford's run with a 15-7 final victory.

In the Division I men's epee competition, senior Jonathan Yergler placed 20th in a 58-man field, going 4-1 in pool bouts and falling 15-14 to Nicholas Vomero as the No. 11 seed in the direct elimination bout. In the same competition, Soren Thompson '05 placed 45th, going 2-4 in pool bouts before a defeat in the Round of 64, 15-14 to Rob Rhea.

Also among alumni fencers, Lindsay Campbell '02 and Maya Lawrence '02 teamed with the Hurley sisters to help the New York Athletic Club team win gold atop seven club teams in the senior team women's epee competition. The NYAC I team defeated the D.C. Fencers Club 41-31 and the Fencers Club from New York 45-33 in the final. On the men's team epee side, Soren Thompson '05 helped his NYAC I team win gold in a 12-team field, defeating the Florida Fencing Academy 45-33 and two fellow teams from the NYAC, 45-40 in the semis and 17-15 in the final.

Elsewhere internationally, Anna Van Brummen and Katharine Holmes were two of a four-member U.S. epee team at the Junior World Championship that finished fourth in Sunday's competition. The U.S. defeated Japan 45-35 in the Round of 16 and Venezuela 45-26 in the quarters but fell to South Korea 45-38 in the semis. In the third-place match, Italy defeated the U.S. team 45-37.
