Princeton senior Niveen Rasheed has been named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Region nominee for the 2013 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team. Rasheed is one of 52 players selected nationally and is one of 12 players in Region I, the most concentrated regional pool of candidates out of the eight.

The two-time reigning unanimous Ivy League Player of the Year and three-time First-Team All-Ivy selection, Rasheed concluded the regular season as the conference's scoring champion for the second-straight year. In addition to her league-best 16.9 points, she also averaged an Ivy-leading 2.6 steals and led the Tigers in rebounds (9.0) and assists (3.3) per game.

Rasheed helped the Tigers' capture their fourth consecutive Ivy League title and automatic berth into the NCAA tournament. Princeton (22-6, 13-1 Ivy) earned the ninth-seed and will face eighth-seeded No. 24/25 Florida State (22-9, 11-7 ACC) in the first round on Sunday, Mar. 24 at 5:10 p.m. in Waco, Texas live on ESPN2.

The 10-player 2013 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team will be announced at 2:10 p.m. ET Saturday Apr. 6, during NCAA Women's Final Four Super Saturday festivities in New Orleans Arena.
