In the wake of the final regular season game of her career,
Princeton's Niveen Rasheed picked up her seventh Ivy League Women's Basketball
Player of the Week accolade of 2012-13. She has earned the weekly honor 14
times over her career, for second all-time in league history.
The Tiger co-captain had 21 points, eight rebounds and seven
assists, all for game-highs in the squad's 77-44 win over Yale on Mar. 8. The
following night she had team-highs again in points (14), rebounds (9) and
assists (5) versus Brown, helping guide Princeton to capturing its
fourth-straight Ivy League title in its 80-51 victory.
Rasheed has scored in double figures in 26 games and tallied
20 or more points in nine games this season. The Ivy League leader in scoring
and steals with 17.1 points and 2.7 steals per game, Rasheed leads the Tigers
in rebounding (9.2) and assists (3.3) as well.
She shares the weekly award with Cornell's Allyson DiMango.
Princeton (21-6, 12-1 Ivy) concludes the regular season
Tuesday, Mar. 12 at Penn. Tip is slated for 5 p.m.
