SOUTH BEND, Ind. (3/1/13) - The Princeton men's distance medley relay has made Ivy League history and is headed to the NCAA Indoor Championships. (scroll down to watch video of the race and the team cheering them on from the locker room)

The relay of junior Michael Williams, senior Austin Hollimon, senior Russell Dinkins and senior Peter Callahan ran a Princeton and Ivy record of 9:27.74 at the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame this evening.

The time is the second-best time in the nation, behind Penn State who ran 9:26.60 in the first heat. The previous best time prior to tonight was Texas' 9:31.82.

The splits were 2:55, 0.46, 1:48.5 and 3:56.5.

The top 12 times on the descending order list will go to the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.

Princeton has the top three times in the Ivy League in the DMR. Williams and Callahan ran with Trevor Van Ackeren '12 and Tom Hopkins '14 last year and ran 9:31.95. The Tigers had a DMR run 9:35.02 in 2011.
