PRINCETON, N.J. (2/20/13) - It's the final home games of the regular season for the Princeton men's hockey team, as the Tigers host Brown and No. 13 Yale this weekend, Feb. 22 & 23. Both games begin at 7 p.m. Princeton will pay honor to its six seniors, Mike Condon, James Kerr, Rob Kleebaum, Will MacDonald, Eric Meland and Michael Sdao on Saturday night.

EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is looking to rebound from a disappointing weekend last weekend that saw the Tigers lose 3-2 to both Clarkson and St. Lawrence. It was a tough weekend for the special teams, as the power play dropped and is now sixth in the league at 20% (18/90), while the penalty kill is fourth at 85.1% (103/121). Princeton is 9-12-4 overall and 7-8-3 in the league to sit in seventh place in the standings, along with Clarkson.

Junior Andrew Calof leads the squad in scoring with 31 points on 10 goals and 21 assists. Sophomore Tyler Maugeri adds 22 points on nine goals and 13 assists. Junior Andrew Ammon has seven goals and assists apiece. Senior Michael Sdao leads the defense in scoring with seven goals and six assists. Senior Rob Kleebaum, junior Jack Berger and senior Eric Meland have 11 points apiece. Freshman Michael Ambrosia leads the rookies in points with 10, scoring six goals and chipping in four assists. Senior Mike Condon and junior Sean Bonar have shared time in net. Condon has a 7-7-3 record with a .926 save percentage and a 2.42 goals against average. Bonar is 2-5-1 with a .901 save percentage and a 3.24 GAA.

THE PRINCETON/BROWN SERIES
Brown leads the all-time series 83-65-8 since it began in 1900-01. Brown is undefeated in the last three games which includes a 2-1 win in the season-opening Ivy League Shootout and a 5-1 win last month. Junior Andrew Calof leads the Tigers in scoring against Brown with 10 points with three goals and seven assists. Senior Michael Sdao has nine points with three goals and six helpers. Senior Mike Condon is 2-3 against Brown with a .920 save percentage and a 2.56 GAA. Junior Sean Bonar is 0-1-1 with a .926 save percentage and a 3.26 GAA.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown is 9-11-5 and coming off of two losses from last weekend, 5-1 at Rensselaer and 2-0 at Union. The Bears are 5-8-5 in the ECAC to sit in ninth place in the standings, just two points behind the Tigers. Brown averages 2.28 goals per game and allows 2.44 gpg. Special teams are a weak point for the Bears, as they convert 13.7% (13/95) on the power play and 77.4% (73/93) on the penalty kill.

Sophomore Matt Lorito sits atop the scoring column with 26 points on 14 goals and 12 assists. Junior defender Dennis Robertson also has 12 assists and adds a goal for 13 points. Junior Garnet Hathaway contributes 13 points as well on four goals and nine helpers. Five other skaters are in double digits in scoring. Brown utilizes two goalies, senior Anthony Borelli and junior Marco DeFilippo. Borelli has a record of 7-6-4 with a 1.65 GAA and a .947 save percentage. DeFilippo is 2-5-1 in net with a .902 save percentage and a 3.28 GAA.

THE PRINCETON/YALE SERIES
Yale holds a 132-103-10 edge in the all-time series that began in January 1901. Princeton however has the upperhand at home, with a 47-73-4 record. Yale has won the last three games, including a 3-2 game at the Ivy Shootout and a 4-2 game in New Haven last month. Junior Andrew Calof has 13 points against Yale with eight goals and five assists. Seniors Rob Kleebaum and Michael Sdao have nine points apiece. Senior Mike Condon is looking for his first win against Yale at 0-4 with a .901 save percentage and a 4.21 GAA. Junior Sean Bonar is 1-2-1 with an .896 save percentage and a 3.70 GAA.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale enters the weekend with a 13-9-3 overall record. The Bulldogs have hit a four-game losing skid with losses to Quinnipiac, Brown, Union and Rensselaer. Yale is 9-8-1 in the league, tied for fifth in the standings, two points above Princeton. Yale averages 2.92 goals per game and allows 2.84. The Bulldogs have the third-best power play in the league, converting 27 of 126 for 21.4%. They’ve killed 81% of their penalties (98/121).

Yale has three players with 20+ points, with all three with 12 goals each. Junior Kenny Agostino has 28 points, adding 16 assists, senior Andrew Miller adds 13 assists for 25 points and senior Antoine Laganiere chips in 12 helpers for 24 points. Sophomore Tommy Fallen leads the blueliners in scoring with five goals and 11 assists. Six others are in double digits in scoring. After getting injured in the first minute of the Princeton game, senior goalie Jeff Malcolm has not returned to the ice. Yale has relied on senior Nick Maricic and sophomore Connor Wilson. Maricic is 2-3-1 overall with a .893 save percentage and a 3.14 GAA. Wilson is 0-2 and earned his first career start in the last game. He has a 4.11 GAA and an .871 save percentage.
