In what is now the final weekend before the Ivy League Championship meet, thanks to the storm-related rescheduling, the Princeton fencing teams will head to Temple for a day of dual meets Saturday and to Ohio State for the National Squad Championships Sunday.

Over the weekend, Princeton could see fencers from five of the top 10 men's teams (No. 1 Penn State, No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 St. John's, No. 8 Penn and No. 10 Duke; Princeton is No. 3) and six of the top 10 women's teams (No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 Penn State, No. 6 St. John's, No. 7 Northwestern, No. 9 Temple and No. 10 Penn; Princeton is No. 2).

The weekend double was one that Princeton also did last year in the first year of the National Squad Championships, then at NYU. The men went 4-0 at Temple, taking victories over Duke, Penn State, Penn and St. John's, following it up by placing third in a 20-team field at the squad meet. The women also went 4-0 at Temple, with wins over Duke, Penn State, St. John's and Temple, following it with a first-place finish in a 21-team field at the squad meet.

This year, the Temple field will put the Princeton women against Penn State at 10 a.m., Temple at 11:30 a.m., Duke at 1:30 p.m. and St. John's at 3 p.m. The men will take on Duke at 10 a.m., Penn State at 11:30 a.m. and St. John's at 1:30 p.m.

The National Squad Championships will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at Ohio State and run through the early afternoon. A schedule can be found here, and brackets for the three weapons in which Princeton will compete can be found here. Princeton is seeded second in all three of those weapons.

Princeton, Drew, Sacred Heart, NYU, North Carolina, Penn, Northwestern and Ohio State will be competing in the National Squad Championships, and the Tigers will field fencers in three of the six weapons. In men's epee, Princeton will bring Luke Politi, Jamie O'Donnell and Delany Granizo-Mackenzie. In women's epee, Phoebe Caldwell, Hannah Safford, Christina Efthimion and Susannah Scanlan will go for the Tigers. In women's epee, Desirae Major, Gracie Stone, Diamond Wheeler and Arden Youngblood will fence for Princeton.

After this weekend, the Tigers will head to Harvard for the Ivy League round-robin event March 2-3.
