PRINCETON, N.J. (1/22/13) - Mark Linnville of the Princeton men's soccer team has been drafted in the Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft that was held on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Linnville was selected by the Philadelphia Union in the second round as the 24th pick overall.

A four-year starter, Linnville was the Tigers captain the last two seasons. He became just the seventh soccer player in Ivy League history to be named first-team All-Ivy League all four years. Linnville played in every game since he arrived at Princeton, a total of 69 games. He started in all but one of those 69 games. The center back capped his career with 21 points on four goals and 13 assists. His 13 assists ranks 12th in program history. Linnville helped Princeton to an undefeated Ivy League season in 2010 and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2009 and 2010.

Linnville will join former teammate Antoine Hoppenot, a current member of the Union.
