Mike "Doc" Emrick and Pierre McGuire are scheduled to call the action when the Princeton men's hockey team hosts Union live on NBC Sports on Jan. 11 from Hobey Baker Rink.

In his 39th year of covering professional hockey play-by-play announcing, Emrick is the lead play-by-play commentator for the NHL on NBC.

Emrick is widely considered to be the best hockey play-by-play voice on television and was honored for being such with an induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008.

In 2011, he joined NBC and NBC Sports Network on a full-time basis after serving the voice of the New Jersey Devils for 21 years. He is now in his 39th year covering professional hockey, including 32 in the NHL. Emrick has worked more than 3,000 hockey games in his broadcast career, including 24 consecutive Stanley Cup Playoffs, 13 Stanley Cup Finals series, and ten NHL All-Star Games. The Emmy Award winner has announced at six Winter Olympic Games and two Summer Olympic Games, including the 2012 Games in London.

McGuire is the "Inside the Glass" reporter for NBC and NBC Sports Network.

He was the TSN national NHL Broadcast lead commentator for more than a decade. McGuire joined TSN in 1999 as a guest analyst and soon after made his way into TSN’s regular lineup on various hockey shows. Additionally, McGuire provided coverage of the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship and NHL Entry Draft. McGuire covered hockey at three Olympic Games (2002, 2006 and 2010) and served as a sportsdesk reporter this past summer for the summer Olympics.

McGuire joined TSN after a successful coaching and scouting career in the NHL, where he won two Stanley Cup championships with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also coached collegiately at Hobart, Babson and St. Lawrence.
