PRINCETON, N.J. (12/6/12) - A seven game homestand comes to an end this weekend as the Princeton women's hockey teams plays a home-and-home series with travel partner Quinnipiac. Princeton hosts Quinnipiac on Friday at 4 p.m., and travels to TD Bank Sports Center for a 4 p.m., game the following afternoon.

Eye on the Tigers
Princeton enters the series with a 5-7-2 record and a 2-6-2 mark in the ECAC. The Tigers average 2.36 goals per game and have the eighth best power play in the nation. Princeton has scored 13 power-play goals on 55 attempts for 23.5 percent. The Tigers' special teams rank seventh nationally as the penalty kill unit is 49 for 58 (84.5 percent).
Seniors Corey Stearns and Kelly Cooke lead the team in scoring. Stearns has two goals and a team-high 15 assists for 17 points. Her 15 assists ranks her eighth in the nation in assists per game at 1.07 apg. Cooke has scored a team-best nine goals and adds three assists for 12 points. Junior Sally Butler is in double digits with 10 points on five goals and assists apiece. Junior Olivia Mucha, senior Alex Kinney, sophomore Brianna Leahy and junior Rose Alleva have seven points each. Freshman Kimberly Newell has started all 14 goals in goal. She has a .906 save percentage and a 3.21 goals against average.

Scouting the Bobcats
The Bobcats are fourth in the league standings with a 6-3-1 record. Overall Quinnipiac has a 10-7-2 record. The team averages 3.26 goals per game and allow 2.63 gpg. The Bobcats power play is sixth nationally converting 21 of 81 (25.9%). The penalty kill unit however is 41 of 53 (77.4%). Junior Kelly Babstock is the league's second-leading scorer. She has 37 points on 18 goals and 19 assists. Sophomore Nicole Kosta is right behind her with a team-best 21 assists and nine goals for 30 points. Senior defender Regan Boulton chips in 17 points on four goals and 13 assists. Junior Erica Uden Johansson and senior Brittany Lyons add 14 and 12 points, respectively. Senior netminder Victoria Vigilanti has started in 15 of the team's 19 games. She has an .892 save percentage and a 2.43 GAA. Backup Chelsea Laden's numbers are similar at .891 and 2.96 in five games played.

The Series
Princeton leads the series with Quinnipiac 10-5-2. It began in December 2001, three years before Quinnipiac would become a member of the ECAC. The Tigers started on a 9-0-2 run in the series but Quinnipiac has won the last four meetings, winning 1-0 at Princeton and 3-0 at home last December.
