The last time that the Princeton men's lacrosse team played a game - in this country, at least - it was at the University of Virginia last May in the NCAA tournament.

This weekend, the Tigers will get on a bus again, this time to head to the same state and ultimately the same opponent - and with an immediate reminder that the fall of 2012 is radically different than the spring was.

Princeton will be competing at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., Saturday as part of the Play for Parkinson's event.

The day begins at 10 when Air Force takes on Towson (coached by former Princeton assistant Shawn Nadelen). Princeton's first game is at noon, when the Tigers take on Georgetown, to be followed at 2 by a game between Princeton and Virginia.

UVa will also take on Towson at noon, and Air Force and Georgetown will play at 2.

The bus will roll down 95 to Virginia minus some familiar names for the Tigers, including four-year starters like Tyler Fiorito, Chad Wiedmaier, John Cunningham, Jonathan Meyers, Mike Grossman and Alex Capretta.

Wiedmaier will be there, though it'll be in his new role with the Towson coaching staff.

The result of these graduation losses is that Princeton has some holes its lineup where those names had simply been written in for the last four years, and most of the fall has been geared around answering the question of who is going to fill those holes.

Princeton's fall season concludes with the two games Saturday, after the Tigers played their annual alumni game last weekend.

Princeton went 11-5 a year ago and won the Ivy League championship.

The 2013 season begins Feb. 23 at Hofstra.
