Courtesy: Beverly SchaeferThe Princeton men's squash team moved within one match of clinching at least a share of the Ivy League championship with a 9-0 victory over Brown Sunday afternoon at the Jadwin Squash Courts.
One day after taking out top-ranked Yale 8-1 at Jadwin, Princeton didn't show any lack of focus against the 16th-ranked Brown Bears. Princeton won 27 of 28 games, including all 15 in the second shift of matches.
The biggest challenge of the day came in the first shift, when sophomore Dylan Ward split the first two games at the No. 6 position. Ward, the lone Tiger starter with a perfect record, came back strong in the third game and took the match with wins of 11-3 and 11-2.
Princeton was dominant in the second shift, including a 3-0 win from freshman Taylor Tutrone, who moved into the No. 9 spot and dropped only nine total points. Junior Todd Harrity matched that effort, losing only nine points in a 3-0 win at the No. 1 spot.
Princeton will return to the court Friday when it hosts sixth-ranked Cornell.
