The Princeton wrestling team will compete in its first dual matches outside of the state this Friday when it heads to Lewisburg, Pa., to take on Drexel and Bucknell in a tri-meet.
Princeton and Drexel will open the day with an 11 a.m. match, followed by a Drexel-Bucknell match. The finale will be between Princeton and Bucknell. Check back tomorrow for a live stats link for the match, or look for it on Bucknell's web site.
Princeton is 1-4 in duals this season, with its lone victory coming last weekend against George Mason. The Tigers are led by sophomore Garrett Frey, whose 14-3 record has earned him the No. 11 national ranking. Three wrestlers will be looking for their 10th win this weekend, including junior Daniel Kolodzik, who was one of two Tigers to earn a win over Rider last Sunday. The others looking for double-digit wins are sophomore Zach Bintliff (9-6 at 141) and freshman Ryan Callahan (9-6 at 174); Callahan is back in the lineup after missing last weekend with an illness.
Drexel is 3-6 on the season, which includes a win over East Stroudsburg last weekend. The Dragons have been led by 133-pounder Frank Cimato, who has a team-best eight wins on the season.
Bucknell is 1-3 on the season, although all three losses have come against nationally ranked teams. The Bison are led by Kevin LeValley, who is 8-0 on the season and ranked third nationally at 149 pounds.
