The Liverpool Football Club spent three days in Princeton this week, practicing on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium. The English Premiere League club is on its international tour as part of this summer's Guinness International Champions Cup in America.
Liverpool plays Manchester City tonight, Wednesday July 30, at 7:10 p.m., at Yankee Stadium.
Liverpool arrived in the US on July 20 and spent a week training in Boston before traveling in Chicago on July 26. The following day the team played its first of three matches, defeating Olympiacos, 1-0, at Soldier Field. The Reds arrived in Princeton the next day for a three-day training stint.
When asked about Myslik Field, striker Daniel Sturridge, also a member of the England World Cup team, said "The pitch is great, it's a great surface. Best surface we've played on so far. Better than Harvard."
After tonight's game, Liverpool travels South to Charlotte where it will face off with AC Milan at Bank of America Stadium on August 2.
