Craig Moore, who played under then-assistant coach Mitch Henderson ‘98 at Northwestern University for four seasons, has joined the Princeton men's basketball staff as the team's director of basketball operations.

"I am very excited to be returning to Princeton," Moore said. "I look forward to working with Mitch and his staff, as well as our student-athletes. Being from the area, I know very well the strength and history of Princeton basketball. It is an honor to work for a university that balances high academic standards and quality athletics. I hope to help continue the long-running success of the Princeton men's basketball program."

Moore succeeds Ben Botts, who was the team's director of basketball operations for the 2013-14 season and returned to his alma mater of Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne as an assistant coach.

"I am very happy that Craig is joining the staff after wrapping up his professional career," Henderson said. "Craig was a standout player In the Big Ten. His ties to the Lawrenceville School and to Doylestown, Pennsylvania make this a really good fit as Craig understands well what Princeton Basketball is all about. I am pleased to welcome him back to the program."

Moore was a two-time All-Big Ten selection and led the conference in 3-pointers per game both as a junior and as a senior. Moore, who graduated from Northwestern in 2009 with a degree in communication studies, is a native of Doylestown, Pa., and spent his high school career not far from Princeton at the Lawrenceville School.

Since graduating from Northwestern, Moore played one season for the Dutch team De Friesland Aris and one season for Gaz Metan Medias in Romania after spending the first several months of Henderson's Princeton tenure as an assistant coach in mid-2011. For the 2012-13 season, Moore returned to his alma mater as a special assistant with the men's basketball team under Carmody, and for the past year, he worked at Barclays as a Client Service Analyst.

Last month, Moore represented the U.S. in the 2014 3-on-3 World Championship held in Moscow, Russia alongside former Tiger Mack Darrow '13 and fellow Northwestern alum Jitim Young. The trio, then teamed with U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, qualified for the World Championship by winning the U.S. title in May.
