Night of PRs for Princeton Men's Track & Field

Results Day 1

PRINCETON, N.J. (5/2/14) – It was a night of personal bests for the Princeton men’s track & field team on Day 1 of the Elite Meet.

Starting off the day over at West Windsor Fields hammer throw area was senior Jake Taylor throwing a PR of 55.55 (182-03) to finish in third place. The throw came on his second attempt, as he bested his mark of 55.08 from the Quad Meet last month. Freshman Vic Youn threw a season-best 50.07 (164-03) to take fifth.

In the next event, senior Scott Rushton threw a PR in the shot put. He threw to 17.64 to top his previous best was 17.46 from the Quad Meet.

At Weaver Stadium, senior Alejandro Arroyo Yamin ran a PR in the 1500 putting up a 3:49.82 shaving 2.31 off his previous best.

In the 800, junior Bradley Paternostro was fifth the 800 at 1:50.40, his best time of the season and 0.80 off his PR.

The meet resumes tomorrow morning at 11 a.m., with the javelin.
