Tom Schreiber finally found an accomplishment that at least one other Ivy League midfielder had accomplished before he did.

Schreiber became the fourth Ivy League men's lacrosse player ever to be named first-team All-Ivy League four times when the 2014 team was announced yesterday. Schreiber - a unanimous pick for the third time - joins former Tiger defenseman Chad Wiedmaier and Cornell attackman Rob Pannell and midfielder Max Siebald as the only four-time first-team selections.

In addition to Schreiber's accomplishment, Princeton had four other players who earned All-Ivy recognition.

Sophomore attackman Ryan Ambler, junior attackman Mike MacDonald and sophomore midfielder Jake Froccaro were second-team selections, while senior longstick midfielder Derick Raabe was named honorable mention.

Schreiber has 106 goals and 94 assists for his career, making him the only midfielder in Ivy League history (and one of five players overall) with at least 100 goals and 90 assists. He is also one of five players in Princeton history - and the only middie - to reach 200 career points.

Schreiber led Princeton in scoring each of his four seasons, and he led the Tigers in goals (30) and points (51) this year while finishing second in assists (21). He is the only Princeton player ever with three seasons of at least 20 goals and 20 assists and is the only Princeton player ranked in the top 10 in program history in both goals (seventh) and assists (sixth). He holds the Princeton records for goals, assists and points by a midfielder.

Froccaro is second on the team with 27 goals as he became the first Princeton midfielder ever to reach at least 20 goals as a freshman and sophomore. Froccaro also had 14 assists, leaving him third on the team with 41 points. He tied the school record for goals in a game with 10, against Yale, and he is one of eight Princeton players to reach at least 50 career goals (he has 51) by the end of sophomore year.

MacDonald leads Princeton with 22 assists to go along with 19 goals, tying him with Froccaro for third on the team in points. MacDonald is 19th all-time at Princeton in points (130) and 18th in goals (84).

Ambler more than doubled his goal total from a year ago, going from 11 as a freshman to 24 as a sophomore. He also has 19 assists, leaving him third on the team with 43 points.

Raabe moved from close defense back to longstick midfield. He is tied for the team lead in caused turnovers with 11, and he is secondin ground balls with 43.
