WASHINGTON (2/27/14) - Junior Erin McMunn of the Princeton women's lacrosse team has been named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, the Tewaaraton Foundation announced tonight.
This is the second season McMunn has made the Tewaaraton Watch List.
Just two games into the season, McMunn once again leads the team in scoring with four goals and five assists for nine points. She is currently on a 23-game scoring streak with 91 points on 52 goals and 39 assists in 23 games.
In 2013, McMunn was named the Ivy League Attacker of the Year as she led the league in scoring, averaging 4.71 points per game in conference games. She led the Tigers in scoring with 40 goals and 29 assists for 69 points. She was named second-team All-America, first-team all-region and first-team All-Ivy. As a sophomore, McMunn scored her 100th career point after a nine-point game against Columbia in March.
During her freshman campaign when she was named the 2012 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, McMunn finished second on the team in scoring with 18 goals and 30 assists for 48 points. She recorded the second-highest scoring season for a freshman in school history and had the most assists by a freshman in Princeton history. Midway through the season McMunn set a program record for assists in a game when she assisted on six goals in a win at Temple.
The nominees will be announced on April 24.
