ALBANY, N.Y. (2/18/14) - Senior Andrew Ammon has been named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 16. In addition, he was named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week.

Ammon led the nation in scoring this week with eight points, averaging 4.00 points per game. He had a hand in every Princeton goal as the Tigers defeated Brown 3-2 and lost 7-5 to No. 13 Yale. Ammon scored two goals and assisted on six. Ammon also led the NCAA in shots on goal with 18 in two games.

The senior had a career night at Yale scoring two goals and assisting on three to extending his point streak to six games. Down 3-0 Ammon scored twice to make it a one-goal game. On Friday at Brown, Ammon assisted on all three Princeton goals to help the Tigers snap a five-game losing skid.

In the midst of a five-game point streak Ammon has 12 points on four goals and eight assists.

Princeton hosts No. 19 Colgate and No. 13 Cornell at Hobey Baker Rink this weekend, Feb. 21 & 22. Both games are at 7 p.m.
