Fall Academic All-Ivy Selections Announced

The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2012-13 Academic All-Ivy honors in its spring sports today. The 80 men and women selected were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each institution nominated five men and women from its eligible student-athletes. 

Princeton's selections for fall 2013 are:

Alejandro Arroyo Yamin, Sr., Men’s Cross Country, Architecture (Leon, Mexico)
Named to All-Ivy second team after placing 12th at Ivy League Heptagonal Championships; earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors thanks to a seventh-place finish at NCAA Regionals; finished 73rd at NCAA Championship.

Philip Bhaya, Sr., Football, History (Haddonfield, N.J.)
Second-team All-Ivy; served as co-captain; finished second on the team with 65 tackles; returned an interception for a touchdown in the home victory over Yale.

Emily de La Bruyere, Jr., Women’s Cross Country, Woodrow Wilson School (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)
Earned second-team All-Ivy honors after placing 10th at Ivy League Heptagonal Championship; took 13th at NCAA Regionals en route to USTFCCCA All-Region accolades; competed in NCAA Championship.

Allison Evans, Jr., Field Hockey, Psychology (Macungie, Pa.)
Second-team All-Ivy; third All-Ivy selection of her career; team’s second-leading scorer with nine goals; also tallied five assists for 23 points in 17 starts.

A.J. Galainena, Sr., Water Polo, Economics (Burr Ridge, Ill.)
Tigers were regular-season Southern Division champions; three-time CWPA Scholar Athlete Team; three-time AWPCA All-Academic Team.

Darcy Hargadon, Jr., Women’s Soccer, Politics (Oak Park, Ill.)
Started 12 games in goal and played a team-high 1,140:59 minutes; finished 4-4-4 on the year; recorded a career-high 29 saves and posted a personal-best five shutouts.

Nicole Kincade, Jr., Volleyball, Psychology (Franklin Lakes, N.J.)
Ranked third in the Ivy League with a .328 hitting percentage; recorded 145 kills, fourth-best on the team; also tallied 18 assists and 20 aces.

Josh Miller, So., Men’s Soccer, Undeclared (Portland, Ore.)
First-team All-Ivy; started all 17 games at center back; helped to hold teams to just 9.9 shots per game and 4.1 shots on goal per game.

Cameron Porter, Jr., Men’s Soccer, Computer Science (Dayton, Ohio)
Unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection; led the League in points (21) and goals (nine); also tallied one assist; earned Ivy League Player of the Week twice, the only Ivy player to do so.

Julia Reinprecht, Sr., Field Hockey, Politics (North Wales, Pa.)
Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year; unanimous selection for All-Ivy first team; Longstreth/NFHCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region first team and NFHCA All-America first team; team tri captain; helped lead Tigers to NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.
