Men's Track & Field Hosts Navy in Dual Meet on Monday
PRINCETON, N.J. (1/4/15) - The Princeton men's track team resumes action on Monday, Jan. 5 as it hosts Navy in an annual dual meet at Jadwin Gym. The meet kicks off at 11 a.m., with the weight throw.
This will be the 44th dual meet between Princeton and Navy in the last 57 years. The Mids have a 22-21 edge in the series, and have won the last two dual meets, which have been decided by a combined nine points.At last year's meet the Tigers took three of the top four spots in the 60 with John Hill second, Dre Nelson third and Tumi Akinlawon fourth. Tom Hopkins won the 400 and was second in the 200. Michael Williams won the 800 and Chris Bendsten claimed the 3k.Princeton went 1-2-3 in the 1000, with , W and taking the spots. Sam Pons and Alejandro Arroyo Yamin went 1-2 in the mile. The Tigers won two of the six field events, including a win for in the high jump and led a 1-2-3 finish in the shot put along wiht Chris Cook and .
