PRINCETON, N.J. (11/14/13) - The Princeton men's hockey team continues its homestand hosting Dartmouth and Harvard this weekend, Nov. 15 & 16 at Hobey Baker Rink. Both games will be held at 7 p.m., the second games of a double doubleheader with the women's hockey team.

EYE ON THE TIGERS
It’s been just three days since Princeton last played, as the Tigers lost a one-goal game to No. 16 UMass Lowell here on Tuesday night. Princeton is 1-6 overall and is looking to pick up its first league points this weekend. The Tigers’ penalty kill is 26 for 31 (83.9%), while its power play has scored on 6 of 31 (19.4%).

Junior Tucker Brockett is the team’s leading scorer with two goals and three assists for five points. Seniors Andrew Ammon and Jack Berger have four points apiece, with Berger scoring a team-high three goals. Six players have three points and eight others have a point or more. Senior Sean Bonar is 1-4 in net and has a 3.22 goals against average and an .897 save percentage. Freshman Colton Phinney is 0-2 with an .852 save percentage and a 4.87 GAA.

THE PRINCETON/DARTMOUTH SERIES
Princeton took a 3-2 overtime game from Dartmouth in the season opener at the Liberty Hockey Invitational at the Prudential Center. Senior Tucker Brockett delivered the winning goal 45 seconds into the extra time. Senior Andrew Calof is the leading scorer when facing the Big Green with six assists. Captain Jack Berger and defender Aaron Ave both have three points. Sean Bonar is 1-2 with 2.70 GAA and a .922 save percentage. He made 38 stops in the first game this year, including 19 in the first period.

SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth comes to Princeton looking for its first win, with an 0-6 record. The Big Green are 0-4 in the league with losses to Union, RPI, Clarkson and St. Lawrence - all at home. Dartmouth is allowing 5.50 goals per game and scores 2.50 gpg.

Junior Eric Neiley has scored a third of his team’s goals, with five tallies, and he adds one assist for six points. Junior defender Andy Simpson has two goals and three assists for five points in five games. Sophomores Brett Patterson and Ryan Bullock have four points apiece. Sophomore Charles Grant and senior Cab Morris have both played three games in goal. Grant has a 5.82 GAA and an .817 save percentage, while Morris has a 5.47 GAA and a .790 save percentage. Sophomore James Kruger has made one appearance as well, allowing three goals on 20 shots.

THE PRINCETON/HARVARD SERIES
Princeton swept Harvard last year, winning both games in overtime. The Tigers won 3-2 at home and 2-1 in the final game of the regular season in Cambridge that sealed home ice for the playoffs. Senior Andrew Calof has seven points in six games against Harvard with four goals and three assists. Seniors Jack Berger and Kevin Ross have three assists each. Sean Bonar is 2-2-1 against the Crimson with a 3.20 GAA and an .876 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
Harvard enters the weekend with a 2-3-1 overall record and is 1-3-1 in league play. The team opened the season with a home-and-home series with Rensselaer (due to rescheduling because of the Beanpot), and went 1-0-1. The team has since lost to Union, St. Lawrence and Clarkson - all home games. Harvard’s penalty kill is solid at 22 for 24, while it’s power play is just 2 for 25.

Four sophomores are at the top of the scoring column for the Crimson. Kyle Criscuolo has three goals and two assists for five points, and Jimmy Vessey has three goals and one assist four points. Greg Gozzo, Brian Hart and Luke Esposito have three points apiece. Harvard has split goaltending duties between junior Steve Michalek and senior Raphael Girard. Girard has the best numbers in the league with a 1.01 GAA and .970 save percentage and 2-1 record. Michalek is 0-2-1 with a .923 save percentage and a 2.63 GAA.
