PRINCETON, N.J. (11/14/13) - The No. 22 ranked Princeton women's cross country team will race in the 2013 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday, Nov. 15. The event is hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa. The women's 6k race begins at 1:15 p.m.
The top two teams from each regional will automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships. In addition, 13 at-large teams will be selected. The Tigers were fourth at Regionals last year and have finished in the top five at Regionals every year since 2002, including wins in 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005.
Princeton is one of four nationally-ranked teams that will compete on the Goodman Course. They join No. 4 Georgetown, No. 24 West Virginia and No. 30 Penn State.
Juniors Emily de La Bruyere and Jackie Nicholas were both named all-region last year, along with All-America Greta Feldman '13. de La Bruyere and Nicholas finished 12th and 17th, respectively. Freshman Megan Curham will run in her first Regional after a fourth-place finish at Heps two weeks ago.
