Nick Peabody, a quarterback/tight end from West Yarmouth, Mass., was one of five recipients of the 2013 NFF National High School Scholar-Athlete Awards, it was recently announced by The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF).

The five winners, who are now playing college football, are being recognized solely for their accomplishments in high school.

Peabody graduated from Barnstable High School in Hyannis, Mass., and represents the Jack Grinold/Eastern Mass Chapter in the Northeast Region.

"I am excited for Nick to receive this prestigious honor," head coach Bob Surace said. "We thank the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame for continuing to recognize the outstanding scholar-athletes in such a first class manner."

While the honor goes to only five players annually, Peabody is now the third member of the 2013 Princeton football team to have earned this award. He joins Max Coale '14 and Matt Costello '15, both of whom are starters on one of the nation's most efficient offenses.
