All-time series: Princeton leads 30-22
Streak: Rutgers 3 overall, 1 at Rutgers
Last meeting: On Mar. 27, 2010, Rutgers swept a twinbill at '95 Field, 9-4 and 4-3 in 9 innings.
At the plate: Princeton is outhitting Rutgers .309 to .279 this season.
Top hitters: Alyssa Schmidt (33-81, .407) is Princeton's top hitter, while Alexis Durando (35-98, .357) leads the Scarlet Knights in batting average.
In the circle: Princeton's staff ERA is 2.54, Rutgers' is 2.51.
Top pitchers: Alex Peyton (6-4) has thrown a team-high 74 2/3 innings for Princeton, accruing a 1.78 ERA. Alyssa Landrith (12-8, 2.12) leads Rutgers in innings, throwing 128 2/3 of the team's 229 frames.

• Princeton and Rutgers took the last two seasons off from their rivalry, which began in 1985. This will be the first time Princeton and Rutgers have played just a single game, not a doubleheader, since 2001.

• Rutgers will be Princeton's fourth and final Big East opponent of the regular season. The Tigers lost a 4-3 game to Seton Hall on March 9 in Baltimore, were swept in a doubleheader March 19 at Georgetown 3-1 and 7-6 in 9 innings, and defeated Villanova 4-1 on April 2 at '95 Field.

• This will be Princeton's second-to-last non-league date of the regular season. The Tigers will host Lehigh on April 17 at '95 Field between Ivy League weekends at Penn and against Columbia.

• Through Monday's games, Princeton leads the Ivy League in both team batting average (.309) and ERA (2.54).

• Alyssa Schmidt is the second-leading hitter in the Ivy League by batting average, at .407. Yale's Sarah Onorato is the leader at .441. Alex Peyton is second in the Ivy in ERA at 1.78. Penn's Alexis Borden leads at 1.56.

• No Ivy Leaguer has touched home plate more often than Lizzy Pierce, who leads the Ivy with 25 runs scored.

• Peyton co-leads the Ivy in RBIs at 26 with Harvard's Kasey Lange. Peyton has also drawn more walks than any other Ivy Leaguer, with 16.

• The Scarlet Knights are off to a strong start at 21-14 heading into Wednesday's twinbill at Villanova. At this pace, Rutgers would achieve its first winning season since 2003, and if it can maintain its .600 winning percentage, it would be the best winning percentage for the program since going 30-17 in 1995, the year before it joined the Big East.
