Ivy Season to Arrive for Tennis Programs Saturday Against Penn

Amanda Muliawan, Zack McCourt and the Princeton tennis teams will open the Ivy League season Saturday.

Both Princeton fencing teams will begin a four-week run through the Ivy League schedule this weekend when the men host Penn and the women head to Philadelphia to meet the Quakers.

Princeton (11-4) vs. Penn (8-5)
Saturday, Mar. 30, 2 p.m. at Lenz Tennis Center, Princeton, N.J.

On the Tigers: Since coming up short in two straight 4-3 losses in its final two ECAC matches, Princeton has won seven of its last eight, the only defeat a 5-2 loss on the road to a Pepperdine team now ranked No. 6 in the nation.
On the Quakers: Penn is 7-0 at home this season and 1-5 away from their Levy Pavilion courts this season. The Quakers had a six-match winning streak this season, all at home, before going winless on a three-match trip to Florida.
Common opponents: Both teams have played and defeated Buffalo, Stony Brook and St. John's as their only common opponents.

On the Tigers: Three of Princeton's four defeats this season have come by 4-3 scores, including its last outing at Loyola Marymount on Mar. 21.
On the Quakers: Penn has won four of its last five matches and are undefeated at home this season, winning all five home contests.
Common opponents: Temple is the teams' only common opponent. Princeton won 6-1 on Jan. 30, and Penn won 7-0 in its last match on Mar. 23.
