Halpern On to the Move to Montreal

MONTREAL(3/23/13) - Jeff Halpern '99 is headed back to Montreal. Montreal Canadiens general manager, Marc Bergevin, announced today that Halpern was claimed off NHL waivers from the New York Rangers.

Halpern has played in every game this season for the Rangers. In 30 games he averaged 9:09 minutes to game and had 36 hits. He won 93 of his 164 face offs, for a 56.7% win percentage, which ranks him 11th in the NHL in that statistical category.

The Princeton alum played for the Canadiens during the 2010-11 season. He had 26 points on 11 goals and 15 assists in 72 games.
