BOX SCORE

The eighth-ranked Lewis Flyers ran their win streak to 13 matches with a balanced attack Friday night against Princeton. Lewis hit .367 and had six players with at least three kills apiece in the 3-0 victory over the Tigers.

Princeton, which had won six of seven matches coming into the night, had the early energy and ran out to a 5-0 lead, but Lewis chipped away until it eventually forced a tie at 17-17. Lewis didn't grab a lead until 24-23, but a Greg Petty service ace followed that and led Lewis to a 25-23 win.

The Flyers used the momentum from that win and controlled play the rest of the way for a 25-23, 25-18, 25-17 victory. The Tigers fell to 7-4 with the loss, while Lewis improved to 14-5 overall.

Junior Pat Schwagler had 10 kills and five digs for Princeton, while freshman outside Devin Stearns added eight kills and four digs. Junior setter Davis Waddell recorded 29 assists, while sophomore Tony Ensbury had seven digs. Senior Michael Dye recorded five kills and two blocks for the Tigers, who will return to EIVA play Saturday night when they host NJIT at 7 pm.
