Seven and nine adds up to a pair of Ivy League records for Princeton senior Ian Hummer.

For the seventh time this season and the ninth time in his career, Hummer has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week for men's basketball. The seven honors this season is two better than the previous record of five, and the nine honors for his career ties him with Brown's Earl Hunt (1999-03) for the Ivy League record. The award was inaugurated in 1985.

Hummer has one last chance to break the record as this weekend brings the final full slate of Ivy games. At 9-2 in the Ivy and 16-9 overall, the Tigers will head to Yale (6-6, 12-17) and Brown (6-6, 12-14) looking to stay a half-game ahead of Harvard (17-9, 9-3) atop the Ivy League standings.

Against Harvard Friday night in a must-win game for Princeton, Hummer had his first double-double of the season with 23 points and 14 rebounds, including a potentially game-saving play with less than 10 seconds to go and a one-point lead for Princeton. Hummer tipped a Princeton missed free throw off the front end of a one-and-one into the backcourt, where T.J. Bray saved the ball from going out of bounds and Denton Koon recovered to retain possession.

Also against Harvard, Hummer passed Kit Mueller '91 and former teammate Douglas Davis '12 for second on the all-time scoring list. He now has 1,577 career points, second only to Bill Bradley '65 (2,503) a teammate of his father Ed '67.

Against Dartmouth Saturday night, Hummer was one of three Tigers in double figures, scoring 13 points with six rebounds to help Princeton secure a 68-63 win.
