Rasheed Selected to 20-Player Ann Meyers Drysdale Midseason Watch List

USBWA Watch List Release

Princeton senior Niveen Rasheed is one of 20 NCAA Division I women's basketball players named to the 2013 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Midseason Watch List, it was announced Tuesday by U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).

This is the fourth national watch list Rasheed has been named to this year. She already has been selected to the Wooden Award Women's Preseason Top 30, 50-player Naismith Watch List and 33-player State Farm "Wade Watch" list. She is the only Ivy League representative on any of the national award watch lists.

Rasheed is coming off her fourth consecutive Ivy Player of the Week honor and sixth of 2012-13. She has earned the accolade 13 times over her career, taking sole possession of second all-time in league history.

This season the guard is averaging Ivy-bests in points (17.0) and steals (2.8) per game, while also leading the Tigers with 9.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

The award will be presented on Sunday, Apr. 7 at the New Orleans Arena at the NCAA Women's Final Four semifinals.
