CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (2/15/13) - Princeton women's lacrosse alumna Paige Perriello '94 has been chosen as an inductee into the Virginia Lacrosse Hall of Fame, it was announced by the Charlottesville Chapter of US Lacrosse on Feb. 14.

"Her induction into the Virginia Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame is a real testament to the work ethic and drive that fueled Paige's career at Princeton," Princeton head Coach Chris Sailer said. "Paige worked for everything she got at Princeton, and by the time she graduated she had gotten a lot: A National Championship ring, All-American recognition and the respect of her teammates and coaches. As a junior starter at defense, Paige scored a critical goal that helped Princeton defeat Harvard for the Tiger's first ever Ivy title. Since leaving Princeton, Paige has become a wife, mother of two and a pediatrician. She continues to serve the sport as a member of the USL Sport Safety and Science Committee, and her relationships with her Tiger teammates are as strong today as they were 20 years ago. I couldn't be happier for Paige and for her family and I am thrilled to be introducing her at the ceremony. It's a fitting honor for a true sportswoman."

An All-America defender at Princeton, Perriello was a member of Princeton's first national championship team in 1994. She played in 60 career games and helped the Tigers win the Ivy League in both 1993 and 1994. She was named honorable mention All-Ivy League as a junior and second-team All-Ivy as a senior.

The induction ceremony will take place on March 16 in Charlottesville.
