The honors continue to come in Monday for Princeton senior Niveen
Rasheed, as the guard picked up her third Ivy League Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor
of the year. The conference accolade comes after she was named to the State
Farm "Wade Watch" list this morning.
Rasheed earned her 10th career Player of the Week award following her 36-point, 21-rebound and seven-assist weekend. She is now tied
for fourth all-time in Ivy League history.
At Cornell on Feb. 1, Rasheed shot 75 percent (9-for-12)
from the field and tallied a game-high 21 points, propelling Princeton past the
Big Red 77-46. A day later, Rasheed notched her sixth double-double of the year
with 15 points and a season-high 16 rebounds in the Princeton's 87-41 win at Columbia.
The co-captain was also named College Sports Madness' Ivy League Player of the Week.
She leads the Tigers averaging 16.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and
3.3 assists per game, along with scoring in double figures in 16 games.
Rasheed and Tigers (12-5, 3-0 Ivy) head next to Brown on
Friday, Feb. 8, followed by a trip to New Haven, Conn. to square off with Yale
the next day.
