PRINCETON, N.J. (2/1/13) - The Princeton men's track & field teams will compete at Penn State's Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup on Saturday, Feb. 2 in a team-scored meet. In addition senior Michael Franklin will compete at The Armory Collegiate Invitational the same day.

Last year at Sykes & Sabock, the Tigers finished third behind a historical sub-4 minute mile by Peter Callahan '13. Callahan is just the third Ivy League runner in history to break the four-minute indoor mile. Three others scored in the mile as Princeton earned 21 points in the event.

Another big event for Princeton was the 3k, as the Tigers pick up another 20 points. Thomas Dialynas '12 won the race at 8:19.09 with Jonathan Vitez '14 and Eddie Owens also scored.

In middle distance Russell Dinkins '13 was the runner up in the 800 at 1:49.92.

Other scorers included: Derek Hynes '12 in the pole vault, Garner McCloud '12 in the triple, Bradley Paternostro '15 in the 800, Michael Williams '14 in the 800 and Tom Hopkins '14 in the 400.
